Extras: Personal Works

I believe that what I do outside of the office informs my work and is an expression of who I am. That said, I wanted to share a small sample of outside projects that I’ve undertaken in my free time.

TH-1 Semi Hollowbody Electric

I designed and began constructing the TH-1 while living in Bend, Oregon. I had the pleasure of working with Will Nash of Nashwood Guitars who showed me the craft. I completed the body and neck, but then the project was on hold for several years. Realizing I wouldn’t be able to make it up to Bend any time soon, I asked Will to finish the guitar for me in 2019, and the results are stunning. Will has already received commissions to make more.

Quilted Oregon Maple, Honduran Mahogany, Rosewood.

Tutte Le Vie

This was a piece I made for my father’s 70th birthday. “Tutte le Vie” translates from Italian to “all the paths”.

Paper and Paperboard.

Human Factors

Human Factors was a pop-up exhibition that I made with Purin Phanichphant in 2017. We created a body of work entitled Fabric Anatomy which explored the use of fabric as a metaphor for anatomy.

Mixed media (mostly fabric).

This was for a performance piece I made with Andreas Braendaugen for a pop-up show organized in 2018 entitled Audiovisual Experiments. The performance can be viewed here.
